Straightforward, All-Inclusive, Easy-To-Understand

As editor of OfSpirit.com Magazine, I've reviewed countless books on psychic development. There are three things I especially like about Psychic Navigator.

ONE, I enjoy the author's writing voice. Holland communicates with his readers like he is chatting with you on the phone. He's straightforward and precise. He doesn't try to write fancy and flowery. So I connected with the book because of the down-to-earth, unintimidating explanations.

TWO, the author teaches you "everything" you need to know to harness your inner-guidance. While it might be surprising to some, Psychic Navigator explains how our psychic strengths can be kicked into gear using specific breathing and meditation techniques. While I've never been that interested in practicing either, Holland inspired me to integrate both in my life. And by adding easy-to-understand chapters on auras, chakras, psychometry and energy scanning, I think every reader will finish reading with a more well-rounded comprehension of how our psychic abilities work and how to use this inborn gift (that we all have) in our lives.

And, finally, THREE, the CD that comes in the back of the book really puts it all together. It allows you to utilize what you've just been taught to really feel like Holland has given you a personal lesson--with his Dorchester, Massachusetts accent and all.

I highly recommend this book.

The CD Alone Is Worth The Price!

I have to start with this...I absolutely LOVED this book, but the CD is AMAZING! I admit, I am a bit of a collector when it comes to different meditation CDs and programs, but this CD is one of the best I own. The book is very well done, laid out beautifully and has a very pleasing usage of photography to accent what is being said. But the CD is what blew me away. For the last three months, since I got the CD, I have listened to one and on occasion both of the tracks every single day! The 20 minute one is the perfect length to start your day off beautifully - grounded and prepared to meet the world. John's sincerity just palpates through the audio, you can just feel how much he loves his work! The CD has not been removed from my little bedside CD player and every morning before I get out of bed I just pop on my headphones and start my day with John! I urge you to just click and buy this item. I cannot imagine you will be disappointed!

With easy to follow instructions he teaches "the mechanics of psychic awareness, the benefits of meditation, the vital power of breath, and the workings and functions of your chakras and aura." By practicing each of the lessons in this little book, you can learn quickly and easily to trust the "feelings" we all have experienced and to develop your ability to enhance your own perceptions. An excellent and easy to follow guide, which will greatly enhance your spiritual experiences no matter what Faith you proclaim. The book comes with a guided meditation CD which includes "Healing Relaxation for Body and Mind" and "Raising the Power," a guide for learning to open and close your psychic receptors and raise your energy." Two Stars No Editing

The story was ok. Several main characters . The book went back an forth between the 5 women. Their was no editing so the grammer, syntax and spelling was horrible it took away from the story . I had to sometimes read the same line several times to understand the sentance and the point the author was trying to make.

We live in an age of media saturation, where with a few clicks of the remote—or mouse—we can tune in to programming where the facts fit our ideological predispositions. But what are the political consequences of this vast landscape of media choice? Partisan news has been roundly castigated for reinforcing prior beliefs and contributing to the highly polarized political environment we have today, but there is little evidence to support this claim, and much of what we know about the impact of news media come from studies that were conducted at a time when viewers chose from among six channels rather than scores.

Through a series of innovative experiments, Kevin Arceneaux and Martin Johnson show that such criticism is unfounded. Americans who watch cable news are already polarized, and their exposure to partisan programming of their choice has little influence on their political positions. In fact, the opposite is true: viewers become more polarized when forced to watch programming that opposes their beliefs. A much more troubling consequence of the ever-expanding media environment, the authors show, is that it has allowed people to tune out the news: the four top-rated partisan news programs draw a mere three percent of the total number of people watching television.

Overturning much of the conventional wisdom, Changing Minds or Changing Channels? demonstrate that the strong effects of media exposure found in past research are simply not applicable in today’s more saturated media landscape.
